Ellen, nice to see you back). Oh, it's a paradise though there, and the sea is absolutely stunning... nearby there's also the island of Palmarola which is a paradise in itself (search it out!) Access usually is by ferry or hydrofoil , yup, but there should be water taxis I guess... but didn't search well for them. A beautiful island Ponza - I'll show also the day walk soon

I wasn't so sure to film at dusk as I was a bit tired...but glad I did. Wonderful town, wonderful island. Oh and still a lot of places to show in Italy so... Hi Michael, glad it was enjoyed - a stunning little island Ponza is, and if visiting Rome I HIGHLY recommend visiting it as it's not too far. And indeed, it's like living in an alternate world there compared to the bigger cities with regards to crime - a remote place yet, a small diamond

Esther, I knew you would have enjoyed this) It's a real more "authentic" than Capri I feel, a little "rougher" but in some parts you can still feel the un-touristic part of Ponza. A stunning island not too far from Rome. I filmed also during daylight with fewere people just as a comparison, and will show it. Wish you a nice Sunday and see you soon

Yup, the "Ponzastyle " sandals garments are quite renowned since many years - small shops creating and selling them - very bright in colors and quite authentic as well. Hi Cheryl, very rarely I see comments from the video of Nepi... very nice to see this. I can't imagine how it was 50 years ago...I found it a very pleasant place, a chill town, relaxing to walk in and quite a nice place to live in I imagine as well. Hope you'll have a nice time there in September - always happy to see foreigners in lesser known towns instead of the "usual ones"

@@StillWanderer Hi, I'm really looking forward to going back. I'm going with my daughter. Her grandmother was born in Nepi and she still has cousins there she's never met. In the video I realised that the number of cars was due to the fact it was probably lock down there. Lots of shops were closed too. As a pale Welsh woman I just hope its not going to be too hot. By the way does it still smell of sulphur and pecorino?

Indeed it could be due to covid Cheryl, but I'm not 100% sure actually... I believe it's like that nowadays pehaps? In a way I felt the smell of sulphur near the springs , but not so strong! Pecorino... didn't smell that day (which is a shame) :)

@@StillWanderer unless it was a Sunday of course. But I'm sure most of the owners of those cars would have been in work outside of Nepi.

Geraldine ciao! Ahh... no way also for me - it was nice looking at it from a distance) Nice town indeed... SO green agreed, greener than other parts. Not so easy to reach it by car though... but worth it for sure. A big ciao Geraldine - I?m starting the new walks for the summer (I was in Ponza last weekend))

So Sellano Is not that easy to reach? That means there won't be crowds to cross the bridge in summer. Looking forward to your new summer walks. Ponza sounds interesting. I'm hoping to be in Italy in December for the Christmas markets in the Trentino Alto Adige region.

quite remote indeed Geraldine - very nice streets in the middle of greenery and hills though, but quite a far destination this was. A LOT of bikers though around I could see .... Oh Ponza was nice... made a dusk walk there, so many people. As you know not my cup of tea but was nice nonetheless)) Ohhhhhhh I will go too maybe in Trentino in December! In case we must meet for a coffee then up there

Ciao Molly, I would suggest to contact the "Comune" (town hall) of the town , and for the "Anagrafe" (registry office) of that same town hall. They usually helps in these research
